Maintenance Supervisor

Hill Top is looking for a FT Maintenance Supervisor. This position assures that the facility, grounds and equipment are maintained in a safe comfortable and economical manner in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility. Must demonstrate a good mechanical attitude and the ability to seek out and apply new methods into existing practice. Carry out facility wide preventive Maintenance Program. Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions, including “on-call” responsibilities. Perform routine maintenance and repair on facility equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpeting, mechanical, vehicles, etc. as directed. Service heating and cooling units/systems as specified by manufacturer and in compliance with facility policies and procedures. Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc. for keep and supply control and report any situation to Administrator. There will be daily, weekly, monthly rounds as appropriate to ensure facility equipment is in proper working order, reporting all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to supervisor/administrator. Must be able to assist in evacuation of residents in case of emergency. Transport residents by van to medical, dental, vision, and hearing appointments, diagnostic procedures, and to and from the hospital. This position also manages the housekeeping and laundry department. Lawn maintenance on all property to include: mowing, trimming, weeding bushes and landscaped areas. Tree trimming, cleaning sidewalks and patios, maintaining sprinkler system, spraying appropriate areas etc. When a resident is discharged/changed rooms an inspection will be done of the empty room which will include repairing and painting if necessary before the next resident is admitted. When a resident is admitted into our facility it is maintenance’s responsibility to make sure the room is set up (bed; TV is operational; and any other requests the resident or families may have but not limited to hanging pictures on the walls.) Building maintenance is the responsibility of the maintenance department which may occur day/night. Being flexible with time management, you may need to adjust your schedule to fit the needs of the residents or the facility. Emergency calls are a part of this position and you are expected to respond in a timely manner when called. Maintenance is a 5 day a week 40 hour a week position; plus, extra hours may come up as needed. Snow removal is required 7 days a week as needed for the safety of everyone that comes to Hill Top.
